Aluminum disc for manufacturing pots are specially designed aluminum products, mainly used to produce various kitchen utensils, such as frying pans, stew pots, etc. As a material, aluminum is widely used in cookware manufacturing due to its good thermal conductivity, lightness and relatively low cost.

aluminum discs for manufacturing pots

Common aluminum disc for manufacturing pots and their characteristics are summarized as follows:

1. 1050 aluminum disc

- Characteristics: It belongs to pure aluminum (first series), contains more than 99.5% aluminum, has excellent ductility, good surface oxidation performance, and is suitable for stretching. Hot rolling process is the main process, and the 0 state (annealing state) is commonly used. The surface is free of oil and scratches, which is suitable for making the main body of the pot or the aluminum layer in the composite layer.

- Application: Widely used in the outer layer of traditional pots and composite pots, such as the three-layer pot structure composited with stainless steel or iron.

2. 1070/1060 aluminum disc

- Characteristics: Pure aluminum material (first series), excellent thermal conductivity, low cost, but weak strength. Commonly used in traditional pot manufacturing or the intermediate thermal conductive layer of composite pots.

- Application: Base material for ordinary frying pans, soup pots and rice cooker inner pots.

3. 3003 aluminum disc

- Features: It belongs to manganese-aluminum alloy (three series), with high strength, strong corrosion resistance, good welding performance, and no color difference after surface oxidation. Cold rolling or hot rolling process is available, and it is often used for tensile parts of mid-to-high-end cookware (such as pot bottoms and inner pots).

- Application: Rice cooker inner pot, pressure cooker bottom and magnetic energy storage layer design, and also used for the outer layer of composite cookware.

4. 5052 aluminum disc

- Features: It belongs to magnesium-aluminum alloy (five series), with high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for thickened pots (such as pressure cooker bottoms). Hot rolling process can improve the density of the material and is suitable for high-load scenarios.

- Application: Cookware parts that need to withstand high pressure or high temperature, such as pressure cookers, industrial cookers, etc.

Aluminum discs are used to make pots for the following reasons:

- Good thermal conductivity: Aluminum has very good thermal conductivity and can conduct heat quickly and evenly, which allows aluminum pots to heat food quickly and reduce cooking time.

- Lightweight: Aluminum has a low density, so aluminum pots are relatively light, which is convenient for users to operate and move when cooking.

- Corrosion resistance: Aluminum will form a dense aluminum oxide film under the action of oxygen, which can protect the aluminum from corrosion and extend the service life of the pot.

- Cost-effectiveness: Aluminum materials are relatively cheap, and the cost of manufacturing aluminum pots is low, making this type of pot more competitive in the market.

- Good processability: Aluminum is easy to process and form, and can be made into pots of various shapes and sizes to meet different cooking needs.

- Non-stick coating: Aluminum pots are often coated with non-stick coatings, which makes cooking and cleaning more convenient and reduces the situation of food sticking to the pot.
